Wongpaka Liengprasert began her journey with the Thailand cricket team at the Under-19 level, representing her country in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Women’s Championship held in Kuwait. She made her T20I debut in June 2018, facing Pakistan.
In only her fifth match, Liengprasert achieved an incredible feat, recording figures of 5-12 against Sri Lanka. Her performance marked a historic moment as she became the first Thai woman to claim a five-wicket haul in T20Is. Her off-spin skills were further highlighted when she secured figures of 4-16 against Indonesia during the Southeast Asian Games Women’s Twenty20 competition.
Liengprasert’s outstanding contributions didn’t go unnoticed, and she was rightfully included in Thailand’s squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020.
