Wes Agar’s cricket journey saw him secure a rookie contract with South Australia for the 2016-17 season, a well-deserved recognition of his strong performances during the Under-19 National Championships. He demonstrated his skills by taking 10 wickets throughout the tournament, which included an exceptional performance of 5/37 against Tasmania. His talent didn’t go unnoticed, as he was subsequently selected for Australia’s U19 ICC World Cup squad. Unfortunately, the team withdrew from the tournament in Bangladesh.
Agar made the transition to South Australia before the 2015-16 season, joining the grade side Adelaide Uni. While originally hailing from Melbourne, this right-arm paceman previously plied his trade with the Monash Tigers in Victorian Premier Cricket. Now, he has returned to Victoria, hoping to secure a regular place in their side.
