Tegan McPharlin, one of the more senior members of the squad, is equally adept in the field as well as when donning the wicketkeeping gloves. While McPharlin has carved out a WNCL career marked by memorable moments behind the stumps, it was her performance with the bat that stands out as her finest to date. As the 2014-15 season reached its final round of 50-over matches, with the possibility of a finals berth within grasp, McPharlin, who scored 65 runs, partnered with skipper Lauren Ebsary to guide their side to a dramatic victory. Their collective efforts enabled them to chase down New South Wales’ target of 236 with an over to spare, securing their first finals appearance since the 2007-08 season.
