Hailing from Bendigo, Victoria, the young cricketer had her initial exposure to competitive cricket by joining her state’s under-14 girl’s team. Progressing through the ranks, she later secured a place in Victoria’s under-18 squad. Her talents didn’t go unnoticed, and she was soon recruited by the Renegades to participate in the second edition of the WBBL during the 2016-17 season. Despite facing significant challenges, including two knee reconstructions, Vlaeminck’s unwavering determination paid off when she earned her debut for the Australian national team in late 2018. Notably, she was also a crucial part of the Australian squad that clinched the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 championship.
