Taneale Peschel, a talented bowling all-rounder, marked her debut for the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury during the 2015-16 season. At the age of 23, she boasts an impressive cricketing background, having also represented Australia in the World Women’s Indoor Cricket Championships held in South Africa back in 2011. Furthermore, Peschel has gained valuable experience through her active participation in under-17 and under-18 competitions.
It was during the latter tournament in 2012 that Peschel began to emerge as one of the state’s most promising young bowlers. She kicked off the Ballarat tournament with a notable performance, contributing 23 runs and securing a crucial wicket against Queensland. In another encounter, she added another wicket to her tally, this time against South Australia. Peschel’s prowess was further demonstrated against the ACT in a T20 match, where she displayed her all-around skills by notching 31 runs, claiming 2-21, and executing a run-out, despite being on the losing side.
Her exceptional form persisted as she delivered a stunning spell of 5-17, playing a pivotal role in dismantling Tasmania for a mere 51 runs. She concluded the campaign on a high note with figures of 3-25 from 10 overs against South Australia, solidifying her reputation as one of the most promising and talented bowlers rising through the ranks.
