Suranga Lakmal, a towering right-arm fast bowler, made his debut in Sri Lanka’s one-day side back in December 2009. Since then, he has been a consistent representative in all three formats of the game. With 64 ODI caps to his name, Lakmal has been instrumental in taking 87 wickets during his one-day career.
In a promising sign leading up to the 2015 World Cup, Lakmal delivered one of his best performances, securing figures of 4-30 against England in December 2014. His haul included the crucial wickets of Joe Root, Ravi Bopara, and Eoin Morgan.
Lakmal has also made his mark in Test cricket, where he has earned 82 wickets in 37 appearances, showcasing his capabilities as a versatile and skilled fast bowler.
