Stuart Thompson’s journey with the Ireland national cricket team began in 2012. He made his one-day international debut against Scotland in September 2013. Thompson, a skilled left-handed batsman who also specializes in medium-pace bowling, displayed notable prowess in the early part of 2014 when he faced West Indies. During that match, he contributed 33 runs with the bat and claimed 2 wickets for just 17 runs. Thompson’s excellent form extended into the September ODI series against Scotland. His remarkable performances have solidified his place in the team, and he aspires to continue delivering strong performances when he returns to Australian and New Zealand for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015. Before stepping onto the senior stage, Thompson represented Ireland at the under-19 level, honing his skills and preparing for the challenges that awaited him in international cricket.
