Sophie Ecclestone’s journey through the ranks of domestic cricket is quite impressive. She began her career representing the under-15s and under-17s teams before making her way into Cheshire’s squad in 2013. In 2015, at just 16 years old, she joined Lancashire, and it didn’t take long for her to make her mark.
Ecclestone’s talent as a left-arm spinner became more evident as she progressed through England’s Academy squad. Her hard work and dedication paid off when she earned her international cap in a T20I match against Pakistan in July 2016. Since her debut, she has consistently featured in all three formats for the England national team, including the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 hosted by the West Indies.
