Salma Khatun, one of the most seasoned women’s cricketers representing Bangladesh, marked her ODI debut against Ireland in November 2011. The following year, she made her T20I debut, once again against Ireland. She had a strong start to her T20I career, recording impressive scores of 41, 23, 27*, and 42 in her first four innings. In June 2018, Khatun was a pivotal part of the Bangladesh squad that clinched victory in the Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup. Over her career, she has represented Bangladesh in four T20 World Cups, with her most recent selection as the captain for the 2020 edition.
