Rob Taylor, hailing from England, embarked on his first-class cricket journey during his academic pursuit at Loughborough University back in 2010. His impressive all-round capabilities did not go unnoticed, leading to a significant moment in 2013 when he received the call to join the Scotland national team.
Taylor’s debut for the Scottish squad came in March 2013 against Afghanistan, marking the beginning of his international career. Over his first nine one-day internationals, he showcased his skills, with his highest score of 46* achieved against Kenya during the ICC Cricket World Cup qualification tournament in January 2014. As a bowler, his standout performance to date was taking 3-39 against Kenya in the middle of 2013.
