Starting her domestic career with Central Districts, wicketkeeper Priest earned her call-up to represent New Zealand A in early 2007. Her journey in international cricket began half a year later with a T20 International against Australia, and her Women’s One Day International (WODI) debut followed during the same tour.
A testament to her remarkable career trajectory was her sensational knock of 157 against Sri Lanka in 2015. This remarkable performance made her the first and only wicketkeeper-batswoman to achieve a score of 150 or more in WODI cricket and also marked the highest individual score by a batswoman wicketkeeper in this format. The year 2015 proved to be a memorable one for Priest, as she amassed 592 WODI runs at an exceptional average of 53.81.
Priest has also ventured into the Kia Super League and the Women’s Big Bash League, representing Western Storm and Sydney Thunder, respectively. Her contributions to these leagues further exemplify her impact in the world of women’s cricket.
