Cleary is a promising young bowler who demonstrated her talent with an impressive tally of 12 wickets in 14 games during the 2013-14 season, marking her debut in December 2012. As a right-arm bowler, she showcased her potential early on by earning a spot in the 2011 Australian under-18 Talent Camp when she was just 15 years old. Her abilities were further highlighted when she claimed eight wickets at the 2010-11 under-18 National Championships. Cleary’s journey in cricket includes representing Australia’s under-19 Girls team at the 2011 Indoor Cricket Juniors World Series. She also had the honor of captaining the under-16 team to victory in 2012, where she made a significant contribution with 12 wickets during the tournament. Her cricketing endeavors led her to Dubai with the Commonwealth Bank Shooting Stars in April 2015, where she competed against an England Academy team. Subsequently, Cleary joined the Perth Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). As of the 2022-23 season, Cleary has evolved into one of the squad’s more experienced players, accumulating 55 WBBL games under her belt. During this time, she has taken 35 wickets at an average of 27.76. Her contributions were instrumental in Perth’s championship win in WBBL07.
