At just 15 years and 212 days old, Nahida Akter made history by becoming the youngest woman to represent Bangladesh in international cricket, marking her debut in September 2015 in the T20I format. Since then, she has showcased her skills as a left-arm spinner and has been a valuable asset to the team.
In the Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup 2018, Akter’s talent shone through as she secured five wickets in six matches, contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s title victory. The following year, her exceptional performance continued when she claimed ten wickets during Bangladesh’s successful campaign in the ICC WT20 World Cup Qualifier.
Her consistent contributions earned her a well-deserved spot in Bangladesh’s squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.
