Shabnim Klaas entered the international cricket scene with her T20I debut against the Netherlands in October 2010. Almost simultaneously, she marked her ODI debut in the same month. Since then, Klaas has showcased her skills in two ICC Women’s Twenty20 tournaments and one Women’s World Cup tournament. Her recent inclusion in South Africa’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 is a testament to her continued commitment to the game.
In May 2019, Klaas achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming only the second South African woman to secure an ODI hat-trick. This exceptional feat occurred during a match against Pakistan, underscoring her proficiency as a bowler.
