Auckland-born Maddy Green embarked on her international cricket journey in a T20I against Australia back in 2012 when she was just 19 years old. She shot to global prominence thanks to her remarkable century, achieved in a whirlwind 62 balls, contributing significantly to New Zealand’s record-breaking total of 490 for 4 against Ireland in 2018. In Women’s One-Day Internationals (WODI), she further displayed her prowess with a smashing 121 off 77 balls, resulting in a record-breaking 346-run victory. Her all-round abilities earned her a call-up to represent New Zealand in the 2018 T20 World Cup hosted by the West Indies.
