Lauren Down is an integral part of the Auckland Hearts in domestic cricket, while she also represents the Takapuna District Cricket Club. Her Women’s One Day International (WODI) debut for New Zealand took place in 2018 when she faced the West Indies.
Though she faced some challenges following her international debut, her determination and hard work paid off as she made a remarkable return to form in the 2019/20 domestic cricket season. During this season, she scored an impressive 205 runs for Auckland, showcasing her ability with a strike rate of 112.63.
Her outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, and she received a well-deserved call-up to represent New Zealand in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020, marking a significant milestone in her cricketing career.
