Joel Paris entered the One-Day International (ODI) arena in 2016, marking the beginning of his international career. His impressive outings in the Matador Cup one-day competition for Western Australia in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons laid the foundation for his ODI debut.
Paris, known for his left-arm swing bowling, initially showcased his cricketing prowess while representing Australia at the under-19 level. This experience instilled in him a sense of confidence that translated into consistent performances both in the Sheffield Shield and as part of the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.
In just six first-class appearances, Paris has already secured an impressive tally of 35 wickets, highlighting his bowling proficiency at this level. Furthermore, in 15 list-A games, he has claimed 25 wickets, demonstrating his effectiveness in the shorter format of the game.
