Jason Holder, a towering pace bowler, has been a prominent figure in one-day internationals, accumulating more than 60 appearances since his debut in early 2013. Holder’s cricketing journey has been characterized by early promise, as he emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the team during the 2010 ICC under-19 World Cup in New Zealand.
Following his ODI debut, Holder’s talent earned him a spot in the Chennai Super Kings during the 2013 Indian Premier League auction. Subsequently, he made his Test debut in June 2014. Throughout his ODI career, the Barbados-born bowler has consistently delivered impressive performances. These include a four-wicket haul against Pakistan in only his fourth match and his best bowling figures of 5-27 against India.
In December 2014, Holder was entrusted with the role of West Indies ODI captain, a testament to his leadership qualities. Notably, in April 2015, he achieved a significant milestone in his career by scoring his maiden Test century, a crucial contribution that helped the West Indies secure a draw in the first Test against England.
