Haris Sohail made a strong return to the Pakistan one-day international team in December 2014, following an absence of nearly 18 months. In his comeback match, the batsman showcased his prowess by smashing an unbeaten 85 against New Zealand. His remarkable performance positioned him as a valuable batting asset for Pakistan in preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Sohail initially made his one-day debut in July 2013. However, his impressive displays for Pakistan A towards the end of 2014, particularly an unbeaten 103 against Australia and an unbeaten 40 against New Zealand, earned him a well-deserved recall to the ODI team.
