Darcie Brown, a right-arm fast bowler hailing from Kapunda in country South Australia, is undoubtedly one of the most promising and quickest young talents in the nation. Her exceptional ability to bowl at pace was evident from a young age. At just 17 years old, she made her debut during WBBL|06 in 2020, where her raw speed and bounce troubled even the best batters in the competition. Her stellar performances rightfully earned her the title of the WBBL|06 Rebel Young Gun, recognizing her as the tournament’s finest player under 21.
Following this achievement, she received her maiden international call-up to represent Australia on their tour of New Zealand in early 2021. There, she marked her T20 International debut in Napier. A year later, Brown played an indispensable role in Australia’s triumphant ODI World Cup campaign.
