Amy Jones, a wicketkeeper-batswoman, entered the international cricket scene as a replacement for the renowned cricketer Sarah Taylor. She made her international debut during the 2013 ICC Women’s World Cup when England faced Sri Lanka. Her introduction to the T20I format came later in the same year, in a match against Pakistan.
During her formative years in domestic cricket, Jones had the opportunity to represent the English Academy and don the Warwickshire colors. Her skills and dedication to the sport became evident as she progressed in her career.
One of the highlights of her cricketing journey came during the 2018 ICC World Twenty20, where she delivered an impressive performance, notably an unbeaten 53 against India. This showcased her prowess with the bat on the international stage.
In addition to her international endeavors, Jones also ventured into the Big Bash League, signing with the Perth Scorchers for the 2018/19 season. Her debut in the league was marked by a remarkable display, as she smashed 57 runs off just 29 deliveries, leaving a strong impression in the T20 format.
