Adam Milne, renowned for his explosive pace as a fast bowler, initiated his one-day international career with New Zealand in November 2012 when he was called up to play against Pakistan. During his debut, he secured figures of 0-21, and in the subsequent match, he followed this up with a notable performance, taking 1-17.
Milne’s next opportunity to represent the Black Caps materialized in November 2013, this time against Bangladesh. The selectors’ confidence in his abilities was underscored by his inclusion in the New Zealand contract roster in July 2014. However, a setback occurred when he had to undergo elbow surgery, leading to his unavailability for the New Zealand A team’s tour of England.
Following his recovery, Milne made a successful return to the New Zealand A team in November 2014, where he exhibited his prowess by taking 3-24 in a one-day match against the United Arab Emirates.
